Slept fairly well last night. The aftershocks are getting further and further apart, though the intensity is still variable. We're boiling water, but there's no immediate danger of shortage in our neighbourhood. I went across town last night to deliver some fresh water to a friend whose supply has been disabled. South New Brighton's a mess, thanks to the sandy or marshy soil, which tends to behave a lot like liquid once it starts heaving and shaking. Lots of roads closed due to flooding from the ruptured water and sewerage pipes; other roads impassable due to damaged surfaces.
Still no word on whether I'm back at the office tomorrow; the central city still seems to be closed down due to unsafe buildings.
