The label on this South Austalian wine suggests cellaring for up to two years, but we only got around to opening it tonight.
Lots of supple-yet-subtle flavours of plums and other dark fruit - sweet but gently tart. Surprisingly, no hint of tannins or an alcohol bite, despite being an Australian red at 13.5%.
A thoroughly quaffable wine, with no outstanding strengths but no glaring shortfalls either. Goes well with meat, veges or dessert, or just on its own. If you're looking for a friendly, accommodating drop, and if this one's still on the shelves, it could be worth grabbing a bottle.
